MyoScript was a “home grown” TMA health care project done in 2002 that delivered 200 + video prescription physical therapy exercises to a PDA (personal digital assistant) device. Note, this is before the web enabled smart phone was on the market. The application provided a physician with a menu structure that allowed them to select a list of specific exercises for a patient to perform as part of their patient education. The patient would then practice the prescribed exercises in office and or sign-out the device for take home therapy. The application included a print function that would send the exercise prescription to a Bluetooth printer. Each exercise would be printed with a full transcript, key images and physician defined specifics such as number of times to perform exercise and sets.
